The lehenga is an irreplaceable part of any Indian wedding. I can’t survive any wedding without donning one. Over the years I have experimented with different styles and the variation I am currently loving is the Gown Lehenga. The Gown Lehenga is a trendy variation of the traditional lehenga where the short choli has been replaced by a long kalidar kurta. I think it looks pretty and is the perfect combination of Indian and Western aesthetics.
What I love about my Nude and Gold Gown Lehenga is how gorgeous it looks due to the soft hues and flowy design. I got it made for a family wedding and was bowled over by how it turned out. The crochet flowers with stonework and the embroidery was unlike what I had seen anywhere and I knew I had made the right choice the moment I tried it on. The lehenga skirt has a tulle lining set on a satin base which gives the outfit a princessy feel. On the wedding day, I paired it with a gold sequin clutch, loads of bangles, and stunning pearl and crystal earrings.
My hair and make-up done was by the talented Sahar at Juice Salon – Vashi, who had also done my make-up in my previous wedding post. A dark brown lip, gold eyes with a winged-eyeliner and soft curls pinned at the back gave the whole look a very regal appeal.
