The holidays are quickly approaching which can only mean one thing: It’s time to start planning your festive-wear! Sure, it also means friends, family, and holiday cheer, but let’s face it: It also means parties and tons of socializing.
From holiday office parties to ugly Christmas sweater parties to Hanukkah celebrations, there is so much celebrating going on this time of year. and so many opportunities to get dolled up. When I was growing up, Christmas was the only time my mom would get her nails done professionally. She would choose the same color (dark burgundy) every year, and it was always a signal that my dad’s office holiday party was approaching (and that Santa Claus would be along soon).
These days, beauty trends are even more seasonal and funky, such as this Candy Cane Eyeliner that HelloGiggles just turned me onto:
Talk about holiday spirit! This look would be perfect for a fun, festive holiday party. Perhaps not for a work event, but what about for a “ugly Christmas sweater” party?
You can get this look using white liquid liner and a red matte lipstick.
This look is definitely one you’d wear every day, but then again, the holidays only come around once a year.
If you aren’t ready to commit to candy cane eyeliner, there are so many other fun ways to create a holiday look. This is a wonderful time to wear a dramatic, bold lip, which is why so many beauty lines debut new colors around this time of year.
