These Foods Can be DEADLY, and Most of Us Have Them in the Kitchen

Some of them are toxic, and some are “unsafe and dangerous” because of their shape. We are going to show you the foods that you have to be cautious of.

Even if you eat most groceries without any health threats, there are some foods that you probably have on your kitchen shelves which can be quite toxic.

  • Rhubarb

Rhubarb leaves contain oxalic acid that causes kidney stones. It takes about 5 kilos of the plant to be fatal, but even much smaller amounts can cause serious problems.

  • Nutmeg

Nutmeg is actually a hallucinogen, and consuming 5.5 grams can cause cramps, whereas 8 gr can cause a seizure. If you eat 1 nutmeg, it can lead to a psychosis.

  • Potatoes

How many times it happened to you to buy potatoes with green skin? Glycoalkaloids, which are able to cause diarrhea or even a coma or death, are found in the potato sprouts and the green potato skin.

  • Almonds

There are 2 types of almonds, sweet and bitter. Those with a bitter taste have higher amounts of hydrogen cyanide. 7 out of 10 of these nuts can cause serious problems in adults and could be fatal for children.

  • Tuna

It is very dangerous because it “absorbs” mercury in its flesh, which when ingested through the food, it can either be removed through the kidneys, or it will get to the brain, where it can do lots of damage. The FDA recommends pregnant women and children to completely avoid tuna.
