Clinique Egyptian Cream Shaper For Eyes Review

Skin Tone: Medium Deep, NC 42-44

Hello lovelies,

I have another eyeliner for you all today. I had told you how much I love the Clinique Cream Shaper For Eyes in Chocolate Lustre. Today, I have another variant “Egyptian” for you all. Let us see if it is as good as the previous one.

Product Description:
Creamy-smooth eyeliner pencil with a hint of shimmer. Shapes and defines with intense, stay-put colour. Non-smudging, water- and transfer-resistant. Easy to sharpen, too. Ophthalmologist tested.  Shade: Egyptian – Blackened green with gold pearl.

Price:
USD 16.5 for .04 oz/ 1.2 g (excluding any taxes and shipping).

My Experience with Clinique Egyptian Cream Shaper For Eyes:
Packaging: Clinique Cream Shaper For Eyes comes in a sharpen-able pencil form which comes packed in a cardboard box which has a typical Clinique floral pattern printed on it. The pencil is color coded, khaki in color with a silver cap and silver bottom. The pencil looks classy and the cap shuts too tightly and it will not come off in your handbag.

Shade/Pigmentation:  This shade is nice. Clinique describes this shade as blackened green, I feel it is more of a khaki shade. This one has golden shimmer in it and is not as subtle as Chocolate Lustre. The shimmer is more pronounced and noticeable. The shimmer is very fine and you do not actually feel it during application. It is not gritty or chunky and goes over smoothly and easily. The pigmentation is good enough and one layer would give nice color to the lash line. I don’t have to press the pencil too hard to get the color. However, one can easily build the color. It gives you a few minutes to smudge the liner before it sets.

The shade is really pretty and I do not have such shade in my stash and this shade does show up on my lash line and looks good too. It is not invisible as the Chocolate Lustre and it looks beautiful on my lower lash line too, but somehow, I am more inclined towards the other shade.

Staying Power:  The staying power is good. It stays well, on both upper and lower lash line and does not smudge. But in this shade, the shimmer particles travel around my eyes. But since they are very minute, they do not look gaudy. I have worn it for around 9 hours and apart from a little fading, it wore well. I have very sensitive eyes and the product did not cause any irritation. I have dry eyes but I feel that this product will hold the ground even for the beauties with watery eyes, but my lids can be oily on some days and this does transfer to my upper lids on those days, but a little primer solves this issue.

The product sharpens well and I did not notice the tip breaking off while sharpening, but yes, a little product wastage is there for sure which is the case with all the sharpen-able pencils. The product can be easily removed with any good eye makeup remover but it does not comes off with soap and water.

IMBB Rating:
3.6/5

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Clinique Egyptian Cream Shaper For Eyes?
Probably no, though “Chocolate Lustre” is light for my skin tone, I love it more, but I would surely recommend this pretty shade to you.
