Today I am going to review a kajal from the brand Diana of London. This is my very first product from this brand as I was not really aware of this brand. I bought this kajal during a Women’s Day sale at 40 percent discount. As this is my very first purchase from Diana of London, read on my review to know how this product performed.
● The luscious formula glides on perfectly, without dragging across the fragile skin of the eye area. Delivers bold, true color that easily blends and beautifies.
● The soft liner is perfect for defining eyes, just apply a thick line along the upper and bottom lash line, and smudge for a sultry smoky eye effect.
● Velvety & intense color eyeliner, Excellent color pay-off & smudge proof. Lasts up to 10 hours.
● Blendable shortly after application.
● Suitable for use on the waterline.
Isn’t mentioned anywhere even not on their official site.
Directions For Use:
Trace a fine line of eye liner around the contour of your eye and also draw a fine line at the base of the upper and lower lashes for more definition. For a more intense look, thicken the liner and smudge.
My Experience with Diana of London SSL01 Super Black Super Star Liner:
As usual, let’s talk about the packaging first. Diana of London Super Star Eyeliner comes in a dull golden pencil crayon form with all the necessary information printed on it in black. It has a transparent cap which closes tightly, hence it becomes easy to carry it around without any risk of creating a mess.
As the name says, it is jet black in color or you can also say blackest black in color. It comes in three shades I guess, one is in black and second is in royal blue and the third one is beige. Now comes the ‘Super Star’ part, this eyeliner is insanely pigmented. One stroke of this gives me blackest black color on my waterline as well as on my eyelids as an eyeliner. I have used lot of kajals from several brands and those kajals need to be swiped at least thrice to show up, but this particular kajal provides me with desired opaqueness just in single swipe on my waterline.
It stays on my eyes forever; the staying power is too amazing. I had applied it on my waterline and below waterline, and when I came back home after 6 hours, this kajal was intact. It was not smudged from the outer corners of my eyes also where all kajals tend to smudge. I was very shocked seeing it as how can such an affordable kajal give such an amazing result. The texture of the kajal is very smooth and glides on effortlessly without tugging. The kajal, once applied, looks glossy. But once it is completely set, it gives a matte effect, just like gel eyeliners.
There are some things I don’t like about this kajal. First, a lot of product gets wasted on sharpening. Next, when I sharpen the pencil, I don’t get the desired sharpness of the pencil because of its buttery texture. Last but not the least, here comes the removal task. Getting rid of this kajal completely from my eyes is a challenging task for me. I firstly use my cleansing milk to remove it, then I massage olive oil twice and wash my face with a face wash. This is how it comes off completely.
Pros of Diana of London SSL01 Super Black Super Star Liner:
• Nice and sturdy packaging.
• Super black or blackest black color.
• One stroke is enough to get the desired opaqueness.
• Insanely pigmented, just like any high end kajal.
• Staying power is amazing.
• Inexpensive for the quality and results.
• Travel friendly.
Cons of Diana of London SSL01 Super Black Super Star Liner:
• Needs to be sharpened.
• Removing it is a challenging and time consuming task.
Would I Repurchase Diana of London SSL01 Super Black Super Star Liner?
Definitely! Infact I will purchase other shades too from this range. And I will repurchase this one again and again because I am soo in love with this kajal. It has become my HG kajal now. This is the must-have kajal for every kajal lover like me.
