Sprouts are packed in proteins, anti-oxidants, dietary fibres as well as vitamins, and hence are very popular amongst diet conscious people across the world. Sprouting is a process of germinating seeds which can be consumed either raw or cooked. Some examples are moong beans, chickpea, soya beans etc. They contain fewer calories as compared to other high calorie snacks or highly processed food.
