Hello peeps,

Makeup Revolution has once again launched their new lipstick range called “Iconic Pro”! I did a little lipstick shopping 3 weeks back and picked up 2 shades from this range named “Somewhere out there” and “Duel matte”. I haven’t really been hand in hand with orange lippies and now since summer days are here, I thought I got to add some oranges to my collection. So I started with this one. My Experience with Makeup Revolution Somewhere Out There Iconic Pro Lipstick:
There were some 20 shades to choose from but I again ended up picking one red and for a change one orange. But I am really impressed with the shade selection as everyone will find the shades of their liking.

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a basic black box with the shade name and the price. And inside sits the lipstick. The lipstick comes in a pretty packaging in black and rose gold with the colour coding at the bottom along with the shade name, hence they become really easy to spot. A lot of bloggers have compared its packaging to the MAC lipsticks and they actually look the same except for its combination with rose gold. The lipstick is handy and the cap closes with a click, so no worries of the bullet getting chipped off. But the consistency is very creamy and hence we really need to be careful that the entire bullet goes down before closing the cap since if that doesn’t happen, then the bullet might get ripped off.

Shade: The shade “Somewhere Out There” is a super bright and a vibrant orange. It is not neon at all but it is damn bold and hot to handle types shade. It instantly creates a Popsicle pop on my lips drawing the attention from my skin. It is a very pretty shade for summers since it is bright like the sunny days. But the colour’s hue is very warm and hence it will not suit people with strong yellow undertones. This shade is suitable for fair and medium skin-tones. But it is a shade which can be easily duped. Hence if you find better quality then go ahead with it.

Consistency and Pigmentation: The consistency is absolutely creamy and glides on my lips extremely well and smoothly. It does have a good hydration property which keeps my lips hydrated for 2 hours. The pigmentation is really great since I get the entire colour on my lips in just 1 swipe. It has a lovely scent of cocoa butter and vanilla which lingers around for an hour or so.

Staying Power: The staying power is somewhere around 4 hours without food. The colour stays intact but after a meal, it loses its colour partially. The colour gets ripped off from the middle portion of my lips. It transfers a lot on cups and settles in fine lines too as it is a bold shade. After meals, it clings onto the chapped portions on my lips. It leaves a strong orange stain but that too comes off easily with a make-up remover.
Overall, a good one but I like the matte ones more.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Makeup Revolution Somewhere Out There Iconic Pro Lipstick?
No I wouldn’t pick it up again because I don’t use oranges regularly. And wouldn’t recommend it too because orange looks very shabby when it get patchy and this does get patchy quite soon. I will look out and hunt for better ones.

Conclusion:
I picked the other variant which is really great, I wish they had more matte shades rather than these creamy ones.
